Looking at purchasing a combination meter for both satellite and terrestrial. The satlink ws 6909 appears to only support mpeg2 ? does this mean that it will not decode the saorview video ? Would the ws 6939 be more compatible ? I assume neither use NIT for satellite identification. Thanks.

The 6939 is mpeg 2 as well. Does it really matter if it decodes the video?

This model is only a little dearer than the 6939 and supports DVB-S2 and MPEG4 according to the website:

If you want good advice, stay well clear of those meters, they are total and utter ****e, i was over in a mates shop in england last year who imported them for resale and he has about 40 of them in pieces on the work bench, Why ? because there is no support for cheaply made crap from china. He told me it was the worst purchase he has made in over 20 years in the trade dont walk away run :D
