Hi, sorry if this is not the correct area to put this post in but i live in the city center and i need a carpenter or somebody to lay a laminated floor in an apartment hallway approx 15 x 6 feet.

I dont have a clue what this would normally cost but i am offering 80e for somebody to do it for me. Looking for somebody today if possible. Please PM or respond on this - Thanks

I may be interested. Do I need any previous experience?

Laminated floor is easy enough to lay in terms of laying a floor, but 80eur is a bit hopeful. The carpenter will have to travel there and back and I'm guessing you don't have the tools on hand so will have to have their own tools etc to do the job correctly. How do you want the skirting done or a trim etc, is there angled cuts, or how about the saddle board. If this is for a tenant, I wouldn't be happy with a half arsed job if I were them. You DO need experience to lay a floor properly. I did an apprentice in carpentry but left early. I do have some experience but I still wouldn't feel comfortable taking on a job like this 8 years later without doing some catch up work and research to refresh the memory. Just pay somebody with experience to do it properly and you won't have to come back to it in a few days or weeks.

Thanks for the advice. How much would i expect to pay? How much per square meter?

A few variables for you OP.

Do you have the flooring or would the fitter need to supply that too?
Do you have the tools for the fitter or will they have to provide their own?
A one day turnaround might be you expecting too much.

Hi, got a carpenter to do it tomorrow for 150e. He is going to remove the skirting and put it back on afterwards.

Im providing the flooring and padding.

Make sure that he has the necessary strips for each door step as it will look a total mess otherwise.
