    Very carb/sugar heavy.

Ditch the cereal and processed foods.

Have a more substantial breakfast so you aren't snacking on as much fruit. Base all your meals around a source of protein.

In my experience, you're going to get a load of conflicting advice that will leave you with no clue of what you should be eating.

The best thing you can do, is keep it simple. Don't think of it in terms of things you can't eat, think of all the delicious fresh, natural food you can eat.

Hanley summed up nutrition pretty well here... http://www.revolutionfitness.ie/nutrition-made-simple/
