Replacing a Power Shower

    Hi

We have a 10 year old Mira Event xs power shower that has now given up with what i suspect to be a blown pump. It has been playing up over the last year or so so will probably just replace it.

A new Event XS is fairly pricey so was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a new shower preferably one that would fit easily with pipes etc already in place.

    Any help really gratefully recommended.

Know its not what you want to hear but I generally only fit mira, simply because there great showers and quite reliable.

Replacing the pump itself should be slightly cheaper

Ive got that shower myself best price I got it for was in B&Q with an O&P discount that even beat the plumbing suppliers I go to. Best of replacing it. It could possible be carbon builtup on the motor try blow it clean with a compressor thats what modern plant told me and it work temporally.

    Thanks for the replies.

I thought maybe it could be blocked inlet filters but cannot isolate the water suppy to the shower. Would it be on a seperate pipe run from the bathroom sink and cistern as i can stop the water to these but not the shower.

Either replacing the shower or parts means i will have to cut the supply but have just spent an hour trying. Very frustrating. Have done most other plumbing / electrical jobs around the house but this will be the first i have had to look at the power shower

    Thanks again

    Try in the attic.
