Buying a laptop

    I know there are many thread on this but the amount of information is crazy so I said i would post my own if that is ok.

    I am looking to get a laptop for between 1000-1200euro. I have been looking around and not sure what to get as there are so many out there. The following are the soecs i was "hoping" to get:

    Around 15"
    i7 processor
    8Gb RAM
    750Gb or better hard drive
    Windows 8
    HDMI slot
    Webcam
    etc..

    Is it worth it to go for Macs or are any of the others out there just as good hardware wise?
