Right so, going on a short trip for a few days, and its come to purchasing the flight (with aer lingus) and am wondering, for carry on luggage, does everything in it need to be minature (under the 10mls?). I.e. can you put cosmetics etc into a little suitcase you want to put in the over head locker? Thanks

Under 100ml, you mean. Yes, they do need to be less than 100ml.

The 100ml limit only applies to what you bring through security. You can buy liquids in whatever size you want in the duty free / newsagents /boots etc before you actually board and put them in your hand luggage.
