Hi, I was thinking of going to the US but will only have about 1500 euro, how long could that last?

I doubt mind staying in hell holes but id like enough money to enjoy myself hit some bars do some fun things.

Anyone recommend a cheap fun state.

    Cheers in advance.

Las Vegas Nevada, learn how to gamble and it will be free! Seriously though every little thing in America is about money, €1500 could last a nice while if you could find some really cheap accommodation. Couch surfing maybe.

I have one friend who came flew into Montreal, bought a bike in Toronto with his last $70, stole a tent from Walmart and cycled to Washington DC. I have another friend who came for 2 months, partied his way from coast to coast and spend $5000, maybe more. So, depending on how low you're willing to go, you can get a long way on $1500.

However, if you want backpacking with mostly hostels, spending time mostly in cities, and bussing between them, you'll get about 2, maybe 3 weeks out of that on the coasts (that's enough to do Boston -> Washington, or Seattle -> San Diego), or 3 up to maybe 5, in the south or the mid-west.
