Facebook Disabled - Issues with Facebook team

    Hi

Its my first time posting in this forum, so aplogies if this has been covered before.

8 days ago, I was told my facebook account had been disabled, with no apparent reason for it. I live abroad, and was going onto it daily, but never did anything out of the ordinary on it.

Anyway, my real problems started when I contacted the facebook team to find out why this happened. The first reply told me that my account had been compromised, and gave me a list of steps to follow to re-activate. I was still getting the same message when I went back in, so replied back

Next mail I received caused alarm bells to go off
    Hi,
Our records indicate that there has been irregular login and payment activity on your account. As a result, we have disabled your payments functionality in an effort to protect you as well as our other users. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this decision is final.
I immediately replied asking what activity had taken place and that I was extremely concerned that some sort of payment activity had taken place under my name. I had obviously been hacked, and needed to know if someone had access to any other personal information. I dont actually know what you would use your card through FB for. Apps? Gambling? I then got this back
    Hi,
Facebook has taken the appropriate measures to blacklist your credit card and disable the payments functionality of your account. However, we cannot guarantee your identity is secure outside of Facebook. We do not know where your financial information was compromised, so please take all the necessary measures to secure your finances and identity with your bank and other institutions.
    So my questions are:
    - WHat the hell has actually happened to my account, and has anyone else gone through something similar?
    - Do I have any way of escalating this, or reporting facebook?
    - What do I have to do to get a straight answer on this?

Somehow I'm picking you haven't been talking to the real facebook support.

    Stop clicking links in emails.

    Always type addresses in yourself.

Nope, this was the genuine FB team. Would never click on a link. This was actually resolved a couple if days ago, but they never gave me the details why

I was as surprised as anyone that they were so incompetent.
