    Hello all.

My NCT is due this week but my question to you is this...

A guy i know has said that it's gone up from €50 to €55 for the test and if you fail it and fix the problems within 1 month it's free, because i remember before when i got the test done i had to pay another €25 to get it tested again.

Can anyone clarify if this is correct ?.

    Thanks.

It's only free if it's a visual inspection. If use of testing equipment is required you will be charged 28 euro for the retest.

I see. ok, thanks for that. I don't know where this guy got his information but it's obviously wrong. Anyway, thanks again for the heads up.

    The test is €55

It's free if it fails and a visual retest is all that's needed

If equipment is needed, a retest is €28

His info was correct to an extent, but he fecked it up, or you didn't hear him right.
