Getting key cut for Abus U-Lock

    Hi All,

    I lost my spare key and code card for my Abus U-Lock. Does anyone know locksmith that can cut these keys?

    This is the lock I have - http://www.abus.com/eng/Mobile-Security/Bike-safety-and-security/Locks/U-locks/Granit-X-Plus-54

    I've uploaded a pic of my key to this post. I've asked a couple of places and none of them had the correct equipment to do it. If I can't get a copy cut then I'm going to have to buy a new lock so I have a spare and I don't want to do that because the lock is worth over €100.

    Browne Brothers on upper Patrick St Dunlaoghaire would do that no problems. Once you have a working duplicate they can work off it.

    Had similar Abus Granite key cut. Im sure any other competent locksmith could do the same.

    Cleggs in Rathmines may be able to do that for you. They offer a key cutting service which I've used in the past and they certainly used to sell Abus locks too so they might also have Abus blanks in stock.

    There's a locksmith on Fredrick Street North that have done Abus copies for me from the code card (I had lost both keys).

    Took a bit of asking around to find a locksmith that did copies of Abus cycle shackle lock keys.

    Took a couple of days and was about €6 per key I think.
