Bradley's contract won't be renewed and the current defence coach has resigned today (that's resigned not re signed :D ).

Not sure what's happening with Neil Back.

Considering EOS was their first choice originally I wonder if they'd be interested in him again.

I'd imagine his agent has already issued the Come and Get Me press release.

Hardly a surprise. League form has been woeful under Bradley.

Other than a fluke jaunt to the Heineken semis last year, Edinburgh have been a disaster.

Apparently the SRU gave Edinburgh £2m more this season for their budget! Clever one lads...

As I noted in the recent match thread, they had 10 non Scottish Qualified players in their starting lineup last weekend. When I was over there for the Munster match in the Heineken Cup, the Munster support dwarfed the home support, it was pretty embarrassing. They're a bit of a nothing club tbh.

They've nearly doubled their home attendance since around 2005 or 2006 bizarrely.

Obviously doubling a small number is still going to give a small number!

They've got the bones of a decent team there, a coach worth their salt would have them competing midtable. Their signings have been woeful though, coupled with a loss in form of their number 8 (can't remember his name, can't google) and Denton, they're just plodding along.

Visser is wasted on the wing this season also. They should try to snap up some Scottish talent that are abroad over the next year or so - looking at Strokosch, Beattie etc.

Like someone said, the attendances are appalling, like playing in a library.

    Sean Cox?

Anyway they need to move stadium and build from the ground up. They should be targetting some Irish talent too that can't make it in the provinces. A smart coach could do well there. Last year was a fluke it seems.

I'd really like to see EOS get the job. They have a better squad than their performances have shown and whilst he might not bring them any silverware, he'd be able to improve them, maybe catch up with Glasgow and compete for play-offs consistently.

I'm very fond of Scottish rugby, in the sense that I want nothing more than to see them compete and be a big part of the PRO12 and Heineken Cup. Maybe it's because I grew up in just about the only purple patch of Scottish rugby history, when they had guys like the Hastings brothers, Chalmers and their epic grand slam in Murrayfield, I actually remember when Ireland started to turn the screw on Scotland (having grown up in the same period of Irelands darkest days in rugby, prior to professionalism) and how amazing I thought it was that we were beating the mighty Scots! I suppose perspective is everything...

It would be great to see them come back to their glory days, but of course that starts at club level. Glasgow have made big strides over the last number of years, Edinburgh have been left in the lurch. I think O'Sullivan could be the man to bring them on a level or two.

NO matter who it is though, I hope he does a good job!

Apparently both Michael Bradley and Neil Back have now left the club with immediate effect, they were supposed to stay until the end of the season.

Jesus, only last week was Back saying that he wanted to stay at the club and take the Head Coach role. What a comedy show!

I'm gonna put my name in the hat. Who knows, they'll be desperate and I'm a fairly easy going guy.

I'd love to know what's going on... Back and Bradley already signed their IRFU contracts?

Backs coach please, .ak. You could trumpet a mystery NZ signing as your first act in charge...once all the Twitter gossip dies down that it's Dan Carter on his sabbatical, I could be gently introduced to the Edinburgh faithful.
