AV Receiver & Speakers required

I am currently building my home & I am at the the 1st fix electrical stage. The room I want to set up my AV receiver and speakers into is 4.5M x 4M in dimensions. My budget is around €500-600. I will be adding a 44-46 inch tv to complete the room later on. Also the house is wired for CAT 5E cable so I will be connecting my system to a home server.
Also would you think it would be better, with the room being only 4.5Mx4M, to have ceiling speakers in order to save space?

    Thanks.

    Hi K3v,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

I've got a great system that would work perfectly in a room that size.

It's the Onkyo TXNR-515 paired up with the Boston Soundware SE 5.1 pack.  The Onkyo is DLNA certified so should work with your server ok over CAT5.  When connected to your network it will also give you access to Spotify and internet radio stations.

The Boston speaker pack would be great for a room that size.  The speakers are very small, dont let this fool you though.  The sound they produce is fantastic.  The sbuwoofer included is downwards facing so could be tucked away under a table or something.   The pack also come wirh wall mounts included.

Here's a link to more info on both:

    http://www.richersounds.com/package/system-savers/home-cinema-system-deals/pah01525

Let me know what you think.

    Hi Chris,

I would be happy to buy that system from you. What would your best price including delivery to Kildare be?

    Thanks

    Hi K3v,

Thanks for getting back to me.

We could offer the 515, Boston 5.1 and delivery for £519.85.

Would you need cabling for the system?  Speaker cable, sub cable etc.

Also forgot to mention on the Boston speakers you have a choice of either black or white finish.   Both look very slick :)

    Chris

Go with Onkyo. For the price they deliver superior Surround Sound.
I have one and cannot recommend them highly enough. I'm pretty sure the version I have is discontinued though.

Would it be possible to pay in Sterling? I would rather pay £519.85 than €641.91
    I make the currency exchange rate @ €1= 86pence so £519.85 = €603.81.

    Hi Kev,

Thanks for getting back to me.

No problem paying in Sterling :)

We have to work of a set rate for Euro here in the store so sometimes it is a little higher.

After a long wait I am finally coming back to you for the set. The 2nd fix is currently underway in my house, but I am also looking for a tv. The space will fit a 46" tv so I was looking at the LG 47lm670t. Do you have any available?

    Hi K3v.

Unfortunately the 47LM 670 is now finished and all stock gone.

The replacement is the 47LA690 priced at £1099.95
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/47la690v/lg-47la690v

Or the 47LA620 priced at £849.95

    Hi Kenny,

That's unfortunate with the 47LM 670. Would you have any similar to it around the £700 you were selling it for?

    Hi K3v.

You could have a look at the Panasonic 50ST50 which is priced at £749.95. While it is moving from LED to Plasma the Panasonic is a really fantastic screen!
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/panasonic/viera-txp50st50b/pana-txp50st50b

If I was changing my screen it would be this I would be after.

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks for the quick reply. My 1st choice would have been the 50ST50 but it physically won't fit in to where I want it to! The space where I will be putting the TV will only accommodate 46-47" at a stretch. I have no problem with Plasma TV's as the picture quality is usually superior to LED.

However this is an in store only special and would need collected from the Belfast store as we could not ship it.

There is also the LG 47LN575V priced at £749.95 from the New LG range but it drops the 3D side of things.

3D is not a deal breaker at all. Any 3D movie leaves me with a headache most times!

The total price inc delivery would be £1029.85.

I'll just double check tomorrow if I can ship the lot, fingers crossed. Everything is currently in stock at this end.

Would you require any cables (HDMI Leads, speaker cable, sub link etc as the Onkyo/Boston pack does not come with any.

The speaker cable has already been wired into the walls but I do not have any other cables. What would I need in order to fully connect the receiver speakers & TV?  Also if the Panasonic is unavailable, I will probably go with the Sammy instead.

    Hi K3v.

Yip we can ship all the goods we have talked about.

If your ready to go for it drop me a PM with a contact number or you can get me on 0044 333 900 0070

The other cable you may require would be a sub link to go from the sub to the amp and maybe an HDMI to connect from amp to TV.

What distance would the sub be from the amp?

K3V - just chatted that one through with Kenny and agreed to ship the 47E5 to you no problem - you would need at least 1 HDMI to connect the 515 AV Receiver to the TV ( and another one if you have a DVD or Blu-Ray to connect to the AV Receiver??) and a decent sub cable to connect the Boston sub to the AV Receiver:

    Here is a suggestion:

    AV Receiver > TV: Cambridge Audio 700 HDMI 5 Meter * 1
    BluRay/DVD > AVR: NX2 HDMI 2 Mtr * 1
    Subwoofer > AV Receiver: Philips SVW6530 3 Phono Cable 75 Ohm * 1
Normal retail should be £87 ish

With the system we'll happily do it at just £39.95 for the interconnect bundle?

That SWV6350 cable would suit no problem then - it's 1.5 Metres long ( and as its a 3>3 phono - you will end up with a high quality Stereo phono lead left over for good measure
