Hi all I am seeking some advice on my current situation, although it's not a current issue as iv been dealing with it and him for years now.

To cut a long story short it basically boils down to his lack of communication, affection and interest.

I truly feel that this is a personality issue and not necessarily with me alone but it really does not make it any easier.

I have trust in him and love him beyond words but his way of going on, not only leaves me feeling sadness, unloved, insecure and a multitude of other negative feelings but also limits my own capacity to love and tell/show him how I feel for him.

I feel that as I am getting older now, I am 23 I do not want to miss out on these fun loving years of doing things together that we will reminisce about when we are older. But his personality is so withdrawn I do be so intimidated about orchestrating things for us to do together.

I know he is in a relationship with me and that should speak volumes but I just wonder is it going to be enough.Should I put my love for him before my own wants/needs? And yes I have talked to him about these issues several times and have never received real long lasting result.

I want marriage, a home together and children but I am not confident he wants the same.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I think you need to ask yourself a few questions. It is obvious that you have strong feelings for him but if you stay with him and you miss out on all of the things you want from a relationship will you resent him for it in time??? Can you be happy with the way things are?? I know if you have strong feeling for someone its difficult to let go but trying to change them is never the answer either. I'm not trying to be harsh but I think you need to look out for your wants and needs and put those first. It's fairer to both of you in the long run. If one person is unhappy in a relationship then the other can't be happy either. Hope you find the right decision for you!!! All the best :)
