    Friend driving her car at around 30mph
    It screached to a sudden halt as if the brakes had locked up leaving two skid marks on road.

    It had to be towed away on flat bed recovery truck

    There was comments made that the gearbox locked up.

    Anyone experience something similar
    Brakes have been ruled out.
