Brake Callipers loose

    Hi guys,

    Need some help with a problem I am having.

    During the week I installed a mudguard on my road bike. I removed my Shimano 105 callipers, installed the mudguard and tightened the whole thing up again.

    6k into my cycle yesterday, the callipers had become very loose and the pads were rubbing of the wheel. When I got home I tightened the whole thing up again. However the exact same thing happened this morning. 8k into cycle I noticed the brake pads rubbing against the wheel and sure enough the callipers were very loose.

    Has anyone got experience with this problem. When I tighten the nut through the frame, the callipers is very stiff and tough to move as it should be. I have no idea why it is becoming loose when I start cycling....

    Is the eye of the mudguard bracket between the frame and the caliper?

    Yes it goes calliper->mudguard->washer->frame

    Try it caliper >washer > mudguard >frame. Some calipers can be very finnicky about the washer behind it.
