    Hi,
Has anyone used MrMemory to buy RAM. Was looking to buy more RAM to double the memory, listed above.
Also, with respect to the video card, can you recommend an upgrade for that?
PC is used for some older games mainly (Everquest), and while old, I dont want to replace the whole thing.
    Any suggestions are welcome,
    thanks

Thats the type of ram you want.

You could bump up to an 8800GTX for cheap now which would help. Dont know how much further I'd go though as that P4HT will limit you. Maybe a 6450.

Thanks very much for the reply.
Can't seem to find any 8800GTX for cheap online anywhere, any suggestions?

    thanks

    download and run cpuz
    http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
that will show your cpu ID, many cores and speed
PSU power (watts)- you will find them on PSU label inside your case.

That'll be a Pentium D if I'm not mistaken ! I wouldn't put too much money into a graphics card for it since you'll get a CPU bottleneck pretty soon, something like a 7750 would be a decent match as it uses next to no power and comes in at about 90-95 euro. Seems like the board can take up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM (Seems to take 8GB in the Inspiron 530 though)2x2GB sticks is preferable. This kit off MemoryC runs a little fast but it'll downclock itself to match your FSB

7750 is probably a waste tbh.

Not even 7750, would look for second hand 8800gt/9800gt. Had first one on dual core 3.0GHz AMD and that was max. what that cpu could process.

Thanks for the advice guys. Will upgrade the memory and leave the rest alone. Would rather put the money into a new rig altogether.
