So it looks like all our dreams have come true - we officially have Taoiseach Clowny as our Dáil leader. I think he would make great bedfellows with Mary Lou McDonald. Either way, thought it was hilarious so worth a mention:

Not yet but if you think about it, if you superimposed Angela Merkel's wig onto Enda Kenny, you would indeed have a male version of the German leader. Maybe the Germanization has begun at leader level!

    Dame Edna.

I'd prefer it if Edna had Angela's balls!

Doesn't it say a lot about the politics of our country that our leader first has to ensure emergency legislation is passed at such a late time and yet can't even stay awake during the whole period the Minister for Finance is describing the Bill? Bit of a shambles, no?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,030 ✭✭✭✭Chuck Stone

It's pretty obvious he's not really wearing a wig and make-up Op.

    Thread fail.

That was about as funny as catching the clap.

dunno. he seems to be putting in serious hours. and Noonan's tone is not exactly invigorating.

I think it's pretty obvious it's not a real wig but done to show up the Taoiseach as a clown.

Absolutely, still think a bit of humour at the expense of our inept politicians is just what we need on a Saturday night like today. Don't you think?

I had to clarify as Chuck actually believed I thought it was a real wig!!

Either way, doesn't it suit him? :P

You can fool all of the people all of the time but you can't fool some of the people some of the time.

I mean, Enda wasn't even a clown before he was a politician - he was a teacher I think? So he wouldn't have a clue about dressing as a clown.

    I'm not falling for it.

Oh c'mon. There's no way Enda would turn up to the Dail in a clown's wig with his face painted.

You must think everyone is stupid.

Ah come on, people here need to relax a bit more, it's a Saturday night and we get the opportunity to see Edna Clowny coupled with his Minister and not one of you laughed? Be serious, I bet half of you guys did! :D

This is no laughing matter. You coming on here trying to fool us all that Enda was sitting in the Dail wearing a wig and make-up.

    It's a disgrace. I'm telling the mods.

Ha, how am I trying to fool anyone though? It's just an edited comic video, nothing more nothing less. :)

It's pretty clear that you tried to make it out that that poor, hard-working man was wearing a clown's wig and make-up sitting in the Dail.

He has children and a wife. What if they saw this? Think about how his kids would feel seeing their dad in a wig and make-up? What if they thought it was real?

    Shameful stuff.

This is probably funnier than the video to be honest.

You're obviously just messing with this feigned anger. I have to admit I think this video is somewhat hilarious and there are many others who will happen to see it and arrive at the same conclusion. Pity you can't see the craftsmanship in this piece of work. Anyway, the rest of us can enjoy it! ;)

Excuse me young lady/boy. I've been a member of Fine Gael for longer than you could shake a stick at. That man is under immense stress protecting us from greedy bankers.

Enda was not wearing a wig and clown make-up in the Dail. You're fooling nobody but yourself.

I'm writing a letter to the internet Ombudsman first thing in the morning.

I'll be writing them a letter (yes, a real letter on real paper with real ink with a real quill).

Tell me, did you do the photshoppe yourself?

No I didn't, but I came across it while looking for a video on the IBRC liquidation.

Despite 12 hours later, I still believe you secretly like it! :p

Yes, just like the opportunity that some people get to see the Winter Solstice in Newgrange.

I don't understand why so many people are hating on what is obviously a fantastic piece of comedy for the forums. The amount of people on here who repetitively call the government a circus and An Taoiseach a 'Clown', and when evidence is produced, they hate on the video. This is probably one of the most successful threads in that it has provided some light humour to a dark corner of boards.

I guess because she does a fantastic imitation of a clown. ;)
