Bus from Dublin cc to portarlington?

    Does anyone know if any buses run between Dublin city center and portarlington? there seems to be some towards portlaoise but thats all i can find:confused:


    any help appreciated:)

    According to www.a-b.ie, you can take the Bus Eireann X12 to Portlaoise and then a bus operated by Slieve Bloom Coaches to Portarlington. The first will take 1h15 and the second 25 minutes. There's a timetable for the second bus here. It does say that they don't run on bank holiday so watch out for that.

    I've never done that trip so I'm not standing over any of that information but if you can't trust the NTA, we're in trouble :)

    ah thanks id probably just as fast getting the luas then train though suprised no direct routes but suppose its a small town

    Would the train not work out ?
    I understand can be more € but if you book online works out cheaper.

    ye was just hoping for the bus cause of a direct route instead of the hassle of luas then train guess it has to be done though:P
