    According to the DAA Dublin winter timetable, Ryanair flies to Dublin from Pisa (FR9907, Depart PSA 06:30, Arrive DUB 08:45) and back again (FR9908, Depart DUB 08:55, Arrive PSA 12:55) on Tuesdays and Saturdays. That's effective to March 30th, check the Ryanair website to see if they'll be doing the route during the summer.

    Ryanair have a base there. Florence is a short enough train journey from Pisa too....

    You didn't mention any airport but if you're asking about Dublin, the answer is that Ryanair is the only airline currently doing scheduled flights to Pisa.

    If you study my post above you'll see that I was quoting from the DAA Dublin timetable, it would be been reasonable of you to infer from my response that Ryanair is the only airline mentioned in the current timetable as servicing Pisa from Dublin.

    You could always look up the airport's own website for a full list of arrivals and departures.

    http://www.pisa-airport.com/

    You'll find that they do an English language version as well as Italian.

    Is flying in to Pisa an absolute must? Would you consider flying in to Rome, with Aer Lingus, and then getting a train up to Pisa which is what I actually done years back. Only about 3 1/2hr train journey;

    alternative: Stay in Florence and use Florence as a base for visiting Pisa. Florence (Capital of Tuscany) is also another stunning city!

    Pisa is just a small town that wouldn't take anyone long to explore, if travelling to explore were your plans.

    +1 It's a university town and in the summer the only people around are tourists off coach trips to see the Leaning Tower, there isn't really anything to do apart from look at the tower and then you've 'done' Pisa!

    I did it in an afternoon train trip from Florence. I wouldn't base myself there, I'd say it's completely dead at night in the summer.

    You hav'nt said what airport your flying from, but if it's Cork then you are stuck with Ryanair.. Aer Lingus pulled the Rome route this year, so you have a choice between Milan and Pisa with Ryanair.

    Great stuff guys, thanks for the info, will give me something to think about, was going to stay in Pisa for around 3 nights with my OH but may reconsider that now :)

    the ryanair flights to pisa can be a bit of a pain as they only fly every few days. Ive had to travel over near pisa a few times lately. I fly to bergamo and hire a car. Its probably 3 hour drive to pisa. Its all fast motorways the whole way and loads of service areas to stop off for food. Will probably cost you another €30 for tolls
