I was wondering if someone could help me with the following:

I own a property abroad and am selling it in order to buy here. It wasn't an investment property as i lived there for the last 10 years and own the property for the last 9. As it was my primary residence will I still have to pay irish capital gains tax when transferring the funds back here. I know I will have to pay cgt there as i won't be purchasing another home.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

If you read the charter or browse through the older threads you'll see property related questions aren't allowed!
