    Hi all,

I'm currently living in the UK but got an offer for a job back in Ireland. I'm very interested in learning how to ride a motorcycle (preferably a 125cc)

As I can complete a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course in the UK for much cheaper than an Irish Initial Basic Training Course, I'm wondering if I'd be better off doing the CBT before arriving back.
Will a CBT be valid in Ireland in place of an IBT?

In addition, I applied for my first provisional licence in Ireland some years ago. I moved out of Ireland and it expired but I got a new one when I got back. I got driving and was getting fairly good before I moved to the UK and my second licence expired before I took the driving test.
Are there any circumstances where I could get a third provisional licence, given that I was living abroad. I currently have a UK provisional licence that is valid until 2022 if it helps.

I deal with cars, but usually any 'training' does not transfe. That is to say that the CBT is ( I think ) useless in Ireland. As regards the provisional licence, the UK one is of no use. The Irish one is still relevant if it is less than five years old.
