The end of 2012 was pretty busy for me. I managed to put some stuff together for issue 46 of the Aussie BMX magazine, 2020 BMX. Some of the articles are split with other photographers. I've dulled their images out a little to just highlight my contribution.

Every year there is usually a Haloween Jam at one of the parks. People get dressed up, get drunk, play music, BBQ, ride bikes, get hurt and party afterwards. This year it was a bit mellow. I spent most of my time at the jam trying to film for the first time. The video I posted on here before.

It is definitely NSFW. You can watch it here

Every year, in the major cities a "Rail jam" sort of thing is organised. IT comes down to who can throw down the biggest and best tricks on a rail/grind box set up indoors in a venue. People show up, watch people throw themselves down some rails and ramps and everyone gets drunk with an afterparty somewhere. I don't really remember the end of the night while shooting and have zero recollection of the after party....

Last November 24th a "Nothing but Dirt" jam was organised in memory of Dane Searls. Dane sadly passed away on November 25th 2011, at the age of 23. Dane was remembered as one of the worlds best dirt jumpers, really nice guy and pushed BMX dirt jumping. People came from all over Australia to a state forest outside Canberra for a day of sunshine, bike riding, BBQ-ing, beer drinking and of course, the after party. It was incredible to see so many people turn up with such awesome weather and a really good atmosphere. I chatted with his family, spoke to his friends and it was truly an amazing and somewhat emotional day.
