I'm advertising these shoes for a female friend who doesn't do the internet very well and is a bit shy. They're both mens shoes, btw.

She is based in Dublin and works in the city centre. I'll pass on her contact details by PM when a provisional offer (subject to fit) is accepted.

Asking price for either pair is €160. I've priced the Bonts a bit lower relative to the RRP because they've been used a couple of times.

    Bont Vaypor, size 44

The Bonts were bought, used a couple of times but didn't fit quite right. They have fancy heat-mouldable carbon fibre "chassis", but neither of us have been brave enough to follow the instructions all the way through, so they're essentially un-moulded at this point.

    http://www.bont.com/cycling/items/support/heat_molding.html

These are sized a little small for 44, more like a 43 really.

They retail at £225 (€266) in the UK, can't find them on an Irish website.

    DMT Flash 41.5

These are an unused gift that were bought in the wrong size.

These were bought for €299 but can be had for €240 in Bikeshop Wexford.

In a similar vein to fondriest, I would recommend the bont shoes to anyone that races!

I got a pair of bont a-two's for Christmas, which are essentially the entry level carbon bonts, and once heat moulded they are seriously comfortable and ridiculously stiff! I hated them when I took them for a spin before heat moulding, was ready to send them back!

The heat moulding isn't that scary, in the oven for 30 minutes, onto your feet and let them cool.

    Accepted. Will PM details.

Sadly, the shoes are a tiny bit too small for me - I wear a 9 or 9 1/2 in street shoes - so I've had to pull out of the sale.
It's a real shame, as they are super light and seriously stiff and in excellent condition.

    Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the offer. Don't want to drop below €140 at this stage.

Reducing asking price on both Bonts and DMTs to €130.

Hi, I wear 8.5 in normal shoes, would Bonts fit do you think?

    I wouldn't mind trying the DMT's for size (am a 41 usually)

Quite possibly. I'm a similar size and they were in the ballpark

I think you both have to make an explicit offer subject to fit before we can move forward. Beasty will skin me if I start breaking the rules on this. :pac:

Offer asking at 130 then subject to fit

(must avoid a rogering by Beasty)

We're currently petitioning the admins to change the names of the cards.

From now on a yellow card will be "mild rogering".

A red card will be "severe rogering".

Just to be clear, we have RobFowl and Diarmuid on the DMTs, and Consey (tbc) on the Bonts.
