    Lads,

have a Proxima (Mighty tractor :D). Don't know is it the case with other makes but on the manual it states that you have to turn off the engine to engage the 4WD and likewise when turning it off. Is that necessary? pain in the hole when you just need it for a minute.

    Thanks.

we have a 7341 and no dont have to do that. only thing we do is stop the tractor at a standstill and then flick the switch. we do this because when we first got the tractor, we engaging the four wheel drive while moving, and the broke a lever under the cab.

well its basic but does all we need no problem. cant complain at all really. i find the lift very slow to go down lately if there is nothing on the back. sometimes i nearly get out and stand on it to make it go down! what you think of the proxima?

Happy with it,very happy with the dealer.I spray on grease to the 2 rams and find it makes a difference.Find the view of the pick up hitch poor, but can be fixed by putting a mirrror on the cross bar of the window.Engine easily accesable.Fast on the road.its an 06 reg.Think they should have the pto and hand brake opposit as I some times pull the wrong one.

ya there is a few simple things like that alright but nothing you would fall out with it over! find the cab very loud compared to other tractors i've been in, would want ear protection if ya in it all day everyday.

I have a Forterra and just realised I never read the manual cos I just flick the 4wd switch when I need or don't need 4wd. 3500 hours on it now and no bother with 4wd:eek:

Just on a different note, anybody ever change the arms to ones that have the balls,or ever use the "A" frame for ease of putting on off implements ?
