To Upgrade Bike or Components???

Hi all, I have a Felt F85 2010 model bike and am thinking of upgrading but unsure whether to change the bike or upgrade the components. If upgrading the bike I would be spending between €1500 - €2000 so would probably get carbon bike with the same components as my F85 – Tigra STI gears etc. with some weight saving from the frame.

If upgrading components I could get better quality parts. I recently bought Campagnolo Zonda wheels so that is a start.

Sorry if this is a repeat question as I am new to the site.

    Thanks for any help.

I think you will find more advice in the main forum. Just ask the mods to move it.

As for your question, what are your goals that you are trying to achieve with the upgrades? More aero, weight, efficiency of power transfer or just the bling factor. All are very valid reasons for upgrading, just some of them might exclude the others :).

The main aim would be to get an advantage where possible. I'm not racing or anything but try to get out a few times a week when possible.

Power transfer would be a good reason. I'm not sure how much I'll save in weight overall from the Felt as I don't think it is very heavy bike (stand to be corrected).

thanks, I will try and get it moved to the main page.

So you have Campag wheels and Shimano shifters? Have you changed the rear hub? How have you got a Shimano style cassette on?

You can get campagnolo wheels with a shimano hub on wiggle.
