    Hi all

I am hoping to get a few heads together for spins at the weekends and during the week once the spring light comes.

Most of the clubs are a good 30/40 spin away from the D2/D4 area and personally when you want to do a 3 hours spin adding that each way is too much. I hate having to hop in a car.

I am handy enough. Do a lot on my own. 80-100 km spins at weekends in Wicklow 25-27km per hour average, depending on terrain.

So I am hoping to get people with similar abilites together for spins.

If anyone is intersted let me know and we will see how we go.

    Thanks

D4 Cyclist, I could be interested, living in D4 close to the grand canal dock. Also at same level as yourself for weekend spins and week nights during sping summer months.

I am aiming for W200 and few other sportives this summer

Do you do any spin classes during the week with Andy kenny fitness in Club enegrie (I am not affiliated just recommending his classes?)

Thinkbike in Rathmines do club spins from their shop. That's only 5 minutes from D2/D4

I have heard of Andy but I actually use the spins bikes in there and I am a member and paying an extra 10 euro per session is a bit too much.

Great stuff, we may have three of us so far. Lets see if we can get a few more on board.

I am heading for a spin tomorrow morning if any of you fancy Wicklow?

    It's about 2km on a bike.

Thinkbike are only up the road from you. Nice bunch of blokes and they have introductory spins around now - Sunday AM at the Shop in Rathmines. Usually around 8.30/9.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to this.

Thanks for the information about Thinkbike. I am aware of them.

However, just because there is a club that meets on a Sunday doesn’t mean others cannot organise something else. I think we are entitled to do that.

Besides having a group meeting the in the spring/summer weekday evenings leaving from D2/D4 is a great idea. Heading to Howth or out the coast road for example. A lot easier to do from here rather than Rathmines. D4 is quite a large area.

Also there may be people who want to meet on Saturday morning instead of a Sunday. Which would be my preference.

Lets see if we can get some more responses here.

    Thanks

I'd be interested in some cycles early on a Saturday morning, about 80km with average pace about 24-25km/h.

Is that the kind of distance/speed you like to do?

Id say we would be around the same go. Time suits me also.

Looks like we may have a few heads.

I live in Ifsc. Just a newbie cyclist. Cycle to Howth most evenings at a 24/28km pace. Would also be interested in going along.

[ If anyone is interested in joining me on my Howth cycles I normally leave from The Point at about 6.30pm.
