    Hi all

Is there any place in Dublin or online that you are aware of that sells this type of threads?

    Thanks for any input.

Do you mean that particular brand of thread or do you mean embroidery thread in general?

If you're just looking for it in general, try Hickey's or the place on Capel St. that the woolen mills moved stuff to (I don't know if it's run by the same people but it certainly has a lot of their stuff).

Or argos, there's loads of them around Dublin. http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/2671138/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CGifts%7C14417351/c_2/3%7C15701076%7CArt+and+crafts%7C14417376/c_3/4%7Ccat_14417376%7CCross-stitch+and+needlecraft%7C14417387.htm

DMC is top of the line, expensive but worth it. If you are learning suggest you buy the cheaper ones - you can get packs of different colours in any craft type shop, or Hickeys as mentioned.

hey, sorry but didn't check this thread in a while.

No, I am not interested for that particular brandh, these are just an example. I am interested in the cheaper ones since my wife is currently still learning :)

I checked Woolen Mills but apparently they closed(before checking this thread). Where exactly did they move their stuff in Capel St?

I will be checking Hickeys. Argos' product has plenty and for a good price, I might consider that option as well.

That said, we are also searching for this woolen thread. I am guessing that the stores that you suggest will probably have it as well.

That pic is just knitting yarn, looks like double knit. You will buy that in loads of places, from €1 shops to special yarn shops, Hickeys, craft shops etc. The type and quality you buy depends on what you want it for. You would need to get a bit of specific advice.

The Argos threads would be fine for a beginner.
