Bobs Burgers

I watched this show a few times to give it a chance and my god is it bad.
The drawings are awful, no originality takes alot from other shows like the simpsons and I haven't even laughed once at it

Am I alone on this?

Personally I think it's far ahead of any of the other animated comedies out there at the moment. Very funny with its own style. Really kicks off in its second season.

I think it's a funny, nothing special type show. The son can be very annoying, OTT at times.

I think it's ok, easy to watch and has some funny, clever moments.

The son is the worst character, drags the show down to juvenile level.

I personally rather see Louise be the star of the show. The kid cracks me up tbh

I tried watching some of Season 1 and didn't get very far. Admittedly I was sort of killing time as I was pretty sick at the time and couldn't do a whole lot but I hardly laughed at all. I was watching Archer around the same time and that was so much better. Maybe the show improved in further seasons, I don't know.

Did anyone see the slagging the show got from Family Guy lately? They held up a picture Chris drew at school of Bob and more or less said that the BB production team should be embarassed about the quality of the drawing!

Great show, with a unique tone to it I think. At least out of the other cartoon shows on right now. Anyone who likes it should also check out the first 5 minutes of the newest series of Archer too...

Gave it a go but its is terrible.

The fact that Bob has Archers voice doesn't help as that is Archers voice. No one elses.

I did like that one of the more recent Archer episodes had Archer as Bob from 'Bob's Burgers' complete with entire family ensemble.

Couldn't really get into Bob's Burgers however. With so much good animated stuff on TV, it felt like I was watching a YouTube series as opposed to a funded and aired programme.

it's a brilliant show. Sweet, warm, dark, weird and hilarious all at once.

For anyone who wasn't too enamored with season 1, Season 2 and 3 are far better, with the current season (3) being probably the best animated show on tv at the moment (imo).

I thought episode 7 (Tina-rannasaurus Wrecks ) was the single best episode of TV in 2012, and that includes Breaking Bad, with the one of the best car crashes ever put on screen.

I really like it, wasn't too keen at the start but it has definitley grown on me.

It seems like the only "real life" cartoon.

Family Guy is way out there, The Simspons doesn't really seem realistic any more either. You can see parts of a real family in Bob's Burgers - no one is overly stupid for one

No, there are no 5 minute sequences that have no correlation to the plot. Yes it has dysfunctional family with eccentric characters, but thats where the similarities end.

Saw a couple of episodes on 3e and thought it was a load of crap. Going by feedback on here I may watch an entire series and see what I was missing.

Bob's Burgers is a great little show. I'm amused by the Marmite style reaction it's getting here but that's life. To me, it's kind of a spiritual successor to King of the Hill. It's about a fairly normal guy who is constantly by the insanity that so often goes on around him. He grounds the show and is someone that the viewer can empathise with. Family Guy is a zany show because there's no character that grounds it that way. Bob's Burgers is mainly about a guy getting pi$$ed off with the zaniness he has to deal with on an episodic basis.

Even though I dislike Bobs Burgers, lets be honest what show has been good in its 1st season. All of my favorite shows Scrubs, Family guy, simpsons i will always avoid ever watching an episode from the first season of

A lot of people think that the first series or two are a bit weak, broad or naive in comparison to the satirical, sarcastic mastery of 3-10 but you go back and watch those episodes and they are classic, especially if like me you first saw them at a younger age and missed all the adult references and then wrote them off, mistakenly, as being early days.

I like Bob's Burgers, the voice acting is great and the stories are fun. It's refreshingly original too imo, the characters are really fun and I never feel like I've seen it before, a feeling I've been having a lot with the rest of the Fox lineup (except American Dad, I love American Dad so much)
