Hello all. I was trying to install a third tv under a magic eye system in another bedroom. having all three tvs on magic eye. the main one in the lounge is fed from the skybox which is in the attic hence that being magic eye also. I have the rf channel set to 68 and all three tvs have the same signal, but not getting the new one to work with remote. any help appreciated. thanks

Hi what type of distribution amp are you using to distribute the signal from the attic to the 3 rooms/tv's? There should be no problem with what you wish to do.

Ok there should be no problem with that amp/splitter. If you haven't already done so then check the offending eye with one of the other tv''s. If ok then check the cable to 3rd tv in case of any kinks etc. Also playing around with coax connector can often solve the problem.

ok so nothing to change on menus or remotes should be plug and play. just one cable from one of the outputs on the distribution amp direct to the tv with eye. I assume im doing it right :o

Is there a co-ax wallplate that might be killing the power from the amp?

Hi yes it is through a coax wall plate? this the problem then?
take it apart and go direct from the wire then?

Nothing to change with menu or remote . The cable from the Triax inserts into the eye and the eye connects directly to tv. Some eyes have a fly lead and others connect directly to the tv socket. I would check by swapping the eye giving you the problem with one that is working just to verify hat the eye is not faulty.

Once you do what willby suggested (assuming it doesn't solve the problem / identify the issue) then remove the wallplate, disconnect the cable and put a coax connector on it. Connect this drectly to your magi eye if the cable is long enough.

If the wall plate has a capacitor across the terminal then yes this the problem. Just disconnect the cable, drill a hole through the plate and run the cable to eye. You will obviously have to extend with a coupler.

The amplified splitter supplies the power so the wall plate won't be a problem unless it's between the amp and the "eye".

Make sure all cable is double-screened and plate is screened, to keep out interference. If still a problem, switch off all possible sources of interference, including TV, lights, DVD player, computer etc.

I assume you've made sure the LED on the "eye" is lit and you're using the correct remote control.

    hi guys
just wondering if i could ask some advice please?

i have two magic eyes working fine but i want to add one more magic eye. the moment i connect the 3rd magic eye into the amp i get picture in all three but none will let me change channels and if i disconnect the 3rd magic eye it works perfect.

    thanks so much

Do the 2 work if the 3rd eye is connected but NOT to the TV?
Is the amp powered by the Digibox or by a separate PSU?
