Walker TV / Ferguson Combi Box Question

    Hi Everyone,

Trying to help a couple of very elderly neighbours. They've recently had an FTA system installed including Saorview T via aerial, combi box displays all sat and terrestrial channels just fine no problems there. The issue is when the TV is switched on it doesn't automatically detect the stb (it's connected via hdmi) and so they get a "no signal' message appearing on screen, I called over to them and got them sorted by selecting the hdmi input manually, I demonstrated to them how I did it, now bear in mind they are very elderly and I could see they were somewhat confused and would prefer not to have go through this process everytime they turn the TV on, so is there a solution or workaround to this problem ? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you.

No auto switching with HDMI, best thing to do is to connect the STB to the TV via scart. That way the TV will switch to the STB output when it's switched on.

Thanks for that Cush, will drop over to them with a scart cable this evening, you've done your good deed for the day. Thanks again.

    Ariva 150 or 250 ?

Either way the Arivas have HDMI CEC. My TV recognises the device as an Ali STB (which is coming from the chip). Most CEC devices are only detected on power up on HDMI port one.

I wonder is there an option in the Waker menu turned off for auto detection.
