I'm hoping to order a new bike in the next couple of weeks.

Going to go for the Roadlite AL 6.0 (may go for the 7.0)

I put my details in to the Canyon bike calculator.

    The details are as follows
    Male
    Height 183cm
    Inseam 82cm
    Torso 72cm
    Shoulder 50cm
    Arm 57cm

The bike Canyon suggests is the S(53) frame.

My current bike is a 2012 BH Zaphire 6.7 which is large (and also for sale see my ads!). They dont seem to match up.

Any suggestions? I've emailed Canyon for confirmation

S would probably be too small, M or L more likely.

Your inseam seems very short for your height. Are you sure about that measurement?

I'll double check but I think I am measuring it the way canyon suggested

My measurements are similar to yours 183cm etc.
I went for a 56cm canyon frame with a 100mm stem which I guess is L. Perfect fit.

My inside leg is now 88cm and coming up with large which makes more sense.

How do people kind canyon and more so roadlite?

I have the Roadlite 7, Canyon recommended an XS for me ( 175cm ), went with an S and a longer stem and it fits fine. Could have even gone for a medium. I'm really happy with it, Canyon UK were very helpful, will hopefully get another model later this year.

Bought a Canyon Ultimate AL recently, found the sizing chart absolutely fine - perfect fit. I was cycling a Trek 54 cm. frame for some years - Canyon sizing chart advised frame size 56 cm, which is Medium in the Canyon range. The critical measurement seems to be inseam ( follow the guide on their website for this measurement ) - I took some time to select various sets of measurements (+1 / -1) from the chart to double check the consistency of the results etc etc. Would not have any hesitation in recommending Canyon.

If you're in Dublin city centre next week you can have a blast of my Roadlight 6 some lunchtime.

Edit: It's an XL and I'm about 6'2".

have had a roadlite 6 for 2 years, great bike. everyone who has had a go liked it too. Only real downsides I've noted are the crappy shimano chain (easy fix) and a propensity for the bottom bracket to make noise

The Canyon PPS recommended a XS(50) frame for me. Sent an email to Canyon UK to verify the calc and they recommended a S(53) instead. Went with their advice (you can return the bike at their cost) and no regrets. Super bike - Enjoy!

Cheers for that. I'm based out in Dun Laoghaire so probably wouldnt be able to get to see it.

From people I have spoken to they get great reviews. I'm torn between the 6.0 and 7.0. I should be able to get the 6 in a couple of weeks or the 7.0 in a couple of months. Is there a noticeable between either?

I'm looking for a good road bike for my own spins, club spins and sportives. Racing would be nice in the future but maybe not this year
