Right so my test is in 3 weeks and my adi will be away. She says she has great confidence I can pass and always has said it, think il do the route a few times with my sponsor. Bottom line has anyone done the test before without a pretest

I can be done. But taking pre tests closer to your test would certainly improve your chances of passing. Also, it is no harm getting a second opinion.
Just to clarify, you meant to type 'routes' plural. As even the smallest test centre has more then one route.

It would actually be worth doing a pretest with another instructor with whom you have no prior relationship. Your usual instructor can be tempted to go easy on you or give you hints, whereas a new instructor will make it feel more like a proper test.

I did pre-test twice, both times failed...
I went for test anyway looking out for specific things and when I passed, I called my instructor and told him I passed. Then he admitted that I've been passing all along, he just outlined my weaker points in which I might've gotten Mark 2, and so that I don't think: "okay, I passed I am okay driver I can relax", instead I was focusing on all driving and avoiding mistakes. Kind of glad he did that.
