Clamping Question - Clampers camera time incorrect

    Quick question:

A friend just had his car clamped, time of photo was at 09:00.

Problem is, my friend was late for work this morning so couldn't possibly have been in the carpark at 09:00 (where he parked is a 1 minute walk from work).

He asked the clamper if he could see what time is currently on the camera as it may be incorrect, clamper outright refused to show him because he's "busy and doesn't give a b*ll*x".

He also gave an incorrect time of notice, my friend was speaking to him at 12:06 and the clamper put down 12:14 as the clamp time.

Any appeal that can be made here?

    Cheers

Wouldnt have thought so. He was illegal clamped regardless of the time of day

Who was he clamped by? If it was a council clamper then absolutely make an appeal. If it was a private clamper than you could be 100% in the right but it probably wont make a blind bit of difference on appeal.

Just out of curiosity, if both the camera time and the clampers time were incorrect are you sure it wasnt your friend who had the wrong time...?!!

Apologies, can you elaborate on how he was illegally clamped?

It was a Private clamper, NCPS.

No his time was correct. The clamper showed the photo taken was at 09:00. So my friend asked to see the current time on the camera, which he would not show.

Showing the current camera time would prove whether or not the car was there over 3 hours, regardless of the time being correct or not.
