I am using a standard road bike rear wheel horizontal drop out and the wheel creeps forward, (Chain slackens) whats the best tensioner solution?

I have seen a various different types for sale and I don't want to order the wrong ones.

    Cheers.

Would you not try to determine what ur magic gear might be? It'd look much cleaner.
Alternatively have a look through the Singlespeed forum on mtbr.com, loads of suggestions & information there.
Maybe there's some kind'a hipster cool tensioner that you'd prefer in which I'm definitely unable to help!

The picture you've posted is of a chain tug, not a chain tensioner.

And by "fixie" do you mean fixed or singlespeed?

You shouldn't use a pulley-type chain tensioner on a fixed gear.

If your problem is that the "wheel creeps forward", your problem is wheel attachment, not tensioning. Are you using a quick release or bolts? If QR, that's your problem.

Its fixed wheel, I wouldn't use pulley type, read up enough about them.

No, picture depicted is not a tensioner but a lug with wheel alignment screws for QD axles. Tug tensioners pull / tug the wheel back when tightened, I cannot use these because of the drop out design.

8mm Allen as opposed to hex, I can not get the same bite on an Allen key as I would with a hex spanner.

I think the fasteners were designed for the proper track drop outs using tug tensioner security.

Use the proper serrated washers, or drill two 5c coins and use them as washers. The wheel shouldn't move.
