As long as you then buy a 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium, yes.

You can actually use it for up to four months. When you come to the end of your first month, open command prompt, and enter "slmgr -rearm". Once you restart Windows, this will reset the counter. This command can be entered up to three times, giving you 120 days of use, total. Nope, it's not a hack, just a little-known fact that MS doesn't publicise. :P

Thanks Serephucus, I know about this little trick, didn't want to mention it here, just in case. But don't worry I do plan on buying it. When you restart the counter, is that all it does, it doesn't reset your settings or delete any files does it?

Also that is the correct .iso I was looking at?

Nope (doesn't delete files, etc.) and yes, that's the right version.

I'm fairly sure this breaks the EULA you have to agree to when using the trial.

You might as well install windows loader and bypass the trial period all together.

Any official Windows 7 DVD will give you the 30 day grace period. Just leave the product key field blank when installing.

Ok, so just booted up my new build and everything is running great! Thank god! Always scared pressing the power button on a new build.

Anyway, I downloaded that .iso file for Windows, but the pc Im using at the moment, has a dogdy DVD burner and wont burn it properly. So, my question is, I have seen people making usb boot drives for windows from the install CD but that has different files in it than this .iso, so is it possible to make a usb boot of this .iso file?

    Cheers.

What files are in your ISO? The standard Windows 7 disc has these files and folders:
Volume in drive D is GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD
     Volume Serial Number is EC22-351B

     Directory of D:\

    21/11/2010 08:33 <DIR> boot
    21/11/2010 08:33 <DIR> efi
    21/11/2010 08:33 <DIR> sources
    21/11/2010 08:33 <DIR> support
    21/11/2010 08:33 <DIR> upgrade
    21/11/2010 08:33 122 autorun.inf
    21/11/2010 08:33 383,786 bootmgr
    21/11/2010 08:33 669,568 bootmgr.efi
    21/11/2010 08:33 106,768 setup.exe
                   4 File(s) 1,160,244 bytes
                   5 Dir(s) 0 bytes free

Ok, set up the usb drive and booted from it. But now its asking for drivers, so I popped in the motherboard cd and I get this error.

    Any ideas?

Oh and Ive gone to the vendors website, but it only has Sata RAID drivers.

Are you booting from a USB 3.0 port? Try a USB 2.0 port if you can.

Thanks, that did the trick. What would I do without you!

I have it installed now, but when I click properties on My Computer, its only saying I have 2 days?

That's okay. It'll try to activate in two days but it won't expire. Run slmgr -dlv at the command prompt (as admin) to check the grace period.
