Im moving house next week to a new place. Will there be a charge for this with Sky? There is already a sky box, dish and signal in the new house, is it as simple as just bringing our own card with us to the new house or will we have to pay the ridiculous engineer call out fee?

just bring the box and card with you, the box is yours, then you can email sky your new address, if you have a phone line connected then its a slightly different process.

You can just use your card in the other box. Ring sky and ask them to pair the card to the box.

Also if someone is moving to a new place without an existing dish, Sky will reinstall it for you gratis. Have just done it recently

What should I do with the dish we are currently using? The new house already has one

Best to ring sky get them to do it you'll get a full health check then and you can have all the existing equipment like dish and cables upgraded

If you log into your My Sky account, there's a button you can click on to get their Moving House option. They will do it free.

Just beware you may be agreeing to another 1 years contract. It may also affect any haggling on price you may want to do later.

You could try moving it yourself and see if it works (you would still need to ring sky to pair the card) and if it does not work after that then get the free moving assistance. Generally as part of a move they will put up a brand new dish just to cover themselves in case of problems shortly after.

They won't use the old dish from your old house. A used dish is basically worthless, as they are partially rusted.
