Bedroom wardrobe

    Hi all,

I am planning to change the bedroom, as a starting point I decided to look at wardrobes, I got a quote today to fit a similar wardrobe than the one below in the picture.

    2cgljy1.jpg

Part A exists already, the doors have to be changed, Part B will have to be built and will create a corner wardrobe, Part C would have to be built and just beside it there will be another 2 doors wardrobe, the chest of drawers are included and the interior of the wardrobe could be either hanging rails or shelves (it's up to me) and it won't affect the overall price.

The quote includes removing old wardrobe and fitting, the overall price is 2600 EUR. What do you think about price? can it be any lower?

Ikea do sell quality wardrobes...just you seem to have a big issue with Ikea for some strange reason.

Ikea sell wardrobe wrap around corner wardrobe systems too....(various styles and colours).

Funny and odd how you like to follow me around and my posts too...you seem to allways have the same type of post to post to me aswell.

Oh and have a look at the pic above again...with regards walls and ceilings.

So what's ur point paddy? I didn't say anything about ikea quality in this post! Wev had that discussion before.

You don't get any extra material to scribe panels to walls and ceilings in ikea stuff unlike you get with custom work.

Ya fair enough the wardrobes in that pic don't go to the ceiling but they go right to the wall and not off the wall like freestanding wardrobes

    Do you ever stop complaining???

    Honestly do you????????

Why dont you post something that will actually help the OP (and I dont mean "where are you I will do it for you").

Oh and its very easy to cut a notch/scribe out of the sides of the wardrobe sides so that they slot in over and around 5 inch skirting boards

Ya it seems a fair price to me considering your getting a bespoke custom wardrobe to suit your room. Have it professionally fitted etc. as well

Definitely check out ikea, if only to get ideas for what you want in the finished units.

They will do wardrobes that will effectively go floor to ceiling, just needs a pelmet around the top.

The last ikea unit that I built into an alcove turned out really good, then I could just choose from all the internal options for kittkng it out.

Look at what you 1st posted.;)

You allways have to make a complaint against anyone who metions Ikea or any wardrobes from Ikea.

Is it because you are being done out of work and done on price perhaps by them?????

Your posts are so old at this point..we get it that you dont like Ikea.

But stop complaining because you have some sort personal issue with/against them.

Got to agree with Galwaydude on this one.

Ikea units are made of thinner sheet material which is of poor Quality, doors are pretty flimsy and the Draw runners and hardware are also of poor Quality.they do in fairness look ok but you will no doubt have problems down the road with them,as they say you get what you pay for.
Also E2600 is a decent price for what the op is after.

I built my own wardrobes a few years ago, similar layout except an extra double door unit. Materials cost me 1500 so 2600 for supply and fit doesn't sound too bad.
just make sure it's 18 mm Panel and not 15mm he's using.
