    hows that looking, budget wise?

spend the little more for the 660 ti
the PSU looks a bit over specced
i'd take a 840 pro, or crucial m4 over that ssd
and probably need a 1TB HD for the day to day misc stuff
I'd take an i5 over the i7, in this instance

    imo :)

I do have 2x 1TB WD Hard drive spare, thats why i didn't fit in this spec.

I was looking through the SDD and saw not much difference in performance wise - and seems SanDisk SSD are getting more popular.

can you tell me why would you go for i5 over i7 in this case please.

i'll have a look at the 660 ti and see the difference i guess.

any other PSU can you recommend.
    Thanks for your input.

The 3570k is about €100 cheaper for practically the same chip without HT. Unless you are using programs that benefit from so many threads then it's not worth the money.

I'd also take a 7950 over the 660ti. It's simply a better card for around the same money. If you don't want to spend that much then a 7850-70 is still better than a normal 660.

That mainboard is total overkill as well. Save yourself €100 and get an Asrock pro4.

Do you really need 16gb of ram? Are you using ram heavy programs? Games won't use anywhere near that much.

You should fill out the form to give us more information. What res do you game at?

@BloodBath, i do require RAM for running my virtual OS on VMware for testing, however, i see your point regarding the CPU.

    1. What is your budget? [€1000]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? its an everyday use, browsing and so on - i do use VMware quite heavy for testing the various software in different OS. I am trying to bring the gaming back on PC - mainly borderland for now :)

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? No

5a. If yes, what size do you need.

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? at the moment it will be connected to an old monitor but it will be upgraded in the next 2 -3 months

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? no

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] Any

    9. When are you purchasing? In the next 1 month

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? NA

Much appreciate your help in advance.
