But whose stars have faded/never talked about anymore.

I'll get the ball rolling with

David Mitchell (Jimmy from Fair City). One of the show's biggest characters ever, won Charity You're A Star, current occupation unknown by most. :)

Dunno about household name but she was quite famous - the actress Mischa Barton. She was in the programme The OC and there was lots of talk about her prettiness and clothes. The last I heard of her she was in a play in the Cork Opera House.

Síle Seoige seems to have disappeared from RTE in the last few years.

    She had thyroid cancer

She also wants people to know that she "hasn't gone away" but has spent the last six months battling the illness, including a week in an isolation ward in the Blackrock Clinic when she was dosed with radioactive iodine.

She was in Steel Magnolias last September but the show lost a huge amount of money and the production company is being wound up leaving me out of pocket.

Osama Bin Laden and Colonel Gaddafi have gone fierce quite over the past 5 years.

Guess the pair of them retired to a nice Carribean island to sip cocktails and relax after running their countries for so long.

Hope Eamon Dunphy can track them down for a good interview about football someday soon.

The poster gave you the actors real name. They stated the TV show he appeared in and his characters name in that show. What more do you want...his f**king date-of-birth and star sign?

That was way more than 5 years ago!

Anyway, "biddy" is on Newstalk pretty regularly for the past couple of years.

I believe you may have missed the posters attempt at humour.

The idea of the thread is to post about people who were household names but who have faded or disappeared from the view of the general public.

By responding with 'who?' squod was reinforcing the idea by saying that he didn't know who that person was, hence they had disappeared from public view.

Not worth getting angry over really.
