Hi , for some unknown reason my phone has stopped working and I am trying to retrieve the numbers and photos from my phone.

The phone will turn on but the screen will not respond to my finger movements to allow me to unlock the screen. I have brought the phone back in for repair thinking that it was the digitiser that was at fault, however they advised that it was a softwear problem.

My problem now is that i didn't back up my contacts to google like I should have and I need to retrieve all my numbers from the phone. When my phone turns on, it automatically connects to my home wifi network , so I can install apps remotely over the internet from google play store - ie i could download apps on my laptop and the phone connects via the internet to install them. I can install Plan B for example say if my phone was stolen and I can see it installing on the screen of my phone.

What I need is an app that I can install via the google play store which will allow me to fully access the phone but does not require me to click yes or give permission on the phone itself. or some way of getting the phone to back up the numbers to google contacts.

Does any body have any suggestions on what I could do ?? I really need to get back all the numbers

Have you tried connecting your phone to the laptop and doing a back up from there. You may also be able to repair the software using manufacturers software e.g. Kies for Samsung phones.

    AirDroid?
Haven't used it myself but it gives you remote control of your phone.

You'll need to launch the app to get the code to authenticate, I think.
SSH was the first option that sprang to mind but you'll need to enable the service in android first.

Could your contacts simply be on your SIM?
