Is there anything I can do about my ping,it's very erratic and is causing problems for me when gaming online.I sometimes get a good ping of about 70ms but only lasts a short while then it spikes up into the hundreds.

    Hi Squaredude

Unfortunately there is no direct method or procedure to reduce ping although If you are experiencing slow download speeds or connection drop outs we can try our best to provide support.

I didn't think there was anything that could be done, said I'd ask anyway.Download speeds are ok,can get fairly slow during the day but I assume that's due to congestion.

The next generation of consoles are going to be released this year. Not sure how rural gamers will survive when such low speeds and high pings.

These new machines are going to be very powerful.

X box only had 524MB of  RAM  The playstation 4 is going to announced in Feb 20 in New York and is rumored to have 8GB of ram some say 16GB

    Hi Squaredude
you could have a look at this link to setting up gaming, it may help. I have also found various sites online which provide pointers on how to ensure you get best ping results.
    I hope this helps.
