    Hi all,

This is a question to all Architects / Technologists - im hoping to buy a new laptop and im looking for advice regarding what type to buy.

Im a technologist and i use AutoCAD 2013, Google SketchUp 7, Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and currently learning Revit Architecture 2013.

Can anybody recommend laptops, RAM size, processor, graphics card etc for the above?

Was looking at the Sony VAIO and MacBook but i want peoples opinions. i have a budget of €1000.

I would be using Revit and Autocad mostly so any advice you have would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks! smile.png

A DELL Precision M4700 mobile workstation would tick most if not all of your boxes and the hardware is certified by Autodesk... though you'll have to extend your budget somewhat.

If you're happy with consumer hardware, you may want to configure your own laptop at PC Specialist. Probably best bang for your money. You'll easily find a quad core i7 laptop with 16 GB RAM within your budget.
