newbie land rover series 3 advice!!!

    hi guys im the proud owner of a pretty clean 63 series 2 landy as of today up graded to a 200tdi at some stage.
    im 25 and got a quote for 260 with first ireland which seems ok,i have to join a club anyway so is there a club thats free/cheap to join that gets discount on insurance?

    Join IVS or IVETA and you can insure via them, Campions do IVETA's policy for a lot less than you are paying but it will be third party only. You get public liability for attending shows though.

    Putting my Land Rover anorak on, 1963 is Series IIA :D

    200 tdi is a popular conversion if done properly, seen some right abortions though.

    My fat fingers hit 3 insted of 2 in the headline I did get it right in the main text :)
    Iv been around a good few motors over the years(to many for own good haha) the engine seems to have been fitted pretty well, it pulls ok but can be hard started from cold but I think it just a fuel problem after that its on the button.
    The brakes pull to one side nothing a little tinkering can't fix.
    Solid chassis/bulk head.
    The guy I bought it from pointed out all the faults and was into old landys so I'm happy enough puls I couldn't walk away from the price even if I ended up spending a few bob.

    well wear and head over to www.4xforum.net, me and sean 101 are mods over there, i'm a series head and so are a load of others, we organise all sorts of events from tyre kicks to extreme!!
