wheels for 95kg +

looking to get a new set of road wheels for fitness/sportives . budget is max of 450 euros.

I am ideally looking at the mavic kysruim equipe s-- in white to match the bike.

or

fulcrum racing 5 as they are white also maybe thats the way to choose by colours ? lol

i would also be intrested in mavic cosmic elites, the reviews say they are good for larger cyclists and i had them before with no problems.

the final choice was askiums but the reviews says not suitable for larger cyclists :eek:


what would be your opinions.


I have checked online and the prices are very similar to irish cycle shops so am more inclined to buy from a shop

i've been running kysrium sl's for the last year and a half on donegal roads with no problem and i'm well on the wrong side of 95kg

The kysruim equipe s is the favourite but its maxing the budget of 450 euros ...... but probably better get the ones you want than be sorry in 2 weeks time you dident spend the extra money at that stage.

I am changing the stock wheels that came on my new bike and putting them on the winter bike. they are low spoke count wheels but even dont look to have high strength. they will be ok for the winter bike as its wheels are nearly shot anyway :mad:

They come in two versions, Campag and Shimano/SRAM.

I have decided on the krysium equipe s and have ordered them from my local lbs, same place as where i got my bike 3 mths ago ..... should have them tomorrow evening

some nice new bling ...... hpe i can do them justice
