in, there is no will and she wont tell them anything either, does anyone know how is works id love too be able too give her some advice, also is the next of kin entitled too everything if there is no will?

Dealing with something similar so this is from my experience. My own mother recently died without a will, so there is no probate and a grant of administration had to be applied for to dispose of her estate. Even tho for the paperwork for her pension I was listed as NOK I dont gain anything from it. According to the solictor all the children are entitled to an equal share of any estate

My own advice would be to speak to a solictor, esp if one sister is not being forthcoming, some solicitors give a free first consultation . You can do the grant of administration on your own however

If the amount is that small why not donate it to the nursing home that she stayed in for 10 years. probably well deserved for the excellent care they have provided, and problemsolved for the family. just my opinion.
