    New space star, from €11995

    http://www.mitsubishi-motors.ie/web/THE-ALL-NEW-SPACE-STAR-MORE-FOR-A-LOT-LESS

Following the gammy colour trend set by the old space star. Think its made in Thailand.

8 year warranty should help things

It's basically a mitsubishi mirage. Which would make you wonder why they didn't call it a Colt as it has done for decades.

Ala Nissan Micra. Why are some Jap car co.s going decidedly downmarket...Toyota the same.
The name is silly. Should have kept Colt, it's far more recognised a name.
Decent at that price, assuming the base model has all that, it's very competitive.

Good to see it's all petrol too. Models like this should help the ridiculous flight to diesel at the lower ends of the market.

What happened to Mitsubishi? They used to be a fairly big player and had a vehicle in most segments of the market.

Japan's not importing a lot of its stuff to us anymore, check out and of the manufacture website to see what we're missing out on.

Motor tax and VRT are absolute curses.

Many of their vehicles were not very good quality and didn't age well. Many other japanese vehicle manufacturers outshone them, mechanically and in quality, Toyota and Honda are two that spring to mind.

true, their current line up isn't exactly the most inspiring thing you'll ever see either:

So the UK should have a lot more models than us so?

The jeeps are bulet proof, we had one for years on the farm and she didn't give an ounce of trouble, a shogun

Bad news, the Sandero has already arrived (cheaper, and made in Europe)

Name choice is truly ridiculous. And the cars seems more outdated that the outgoing Colt.

Standard equipment is decent though, they all get aircon, ESP, stop/start and stuff.

i'm currently driving the colt which is a cracking little car and was looking forward to this new one...but what a let down:(..the styling is a tad boring esp the arse micra'ish and as for the name spacestar:confused: sounds more like a mpv

i was led to believe the new car would look be more like this

I've been in the Sandero. I have a huge amount of time for the Duster and I think it makes a lot of sense. Sadly the Sandero really hit a bum note with me.

    I'd rather a 10 year old Clio

Some of their jeeps may have been ok, most in my experience are very soft though and can't take abuse like some other jeeps.
