    I was walking my dog in a local wood today & heard a strange bird call,it was a harsh screaming sort of a call,there was two birds high up in an evergreen tree but I couldnt get a good look at them. There is loads of red squirrels around,could they be making the noise?

    Heard the same call in the same area a few months ago as well,It sort of reminds me of the call of the wild cockatoos in australia, obviously its not them,unless there is a wild population of them living in Tipperary! Any ideas what kind of bird it was or any good websites for identifing bird calls?
