    Hello,

can anyone recommend a decent, reliable GPS sports watch? I currently have a Garmin Forerunner 110, which is totally unreliable for this purpose. I do quite bit of interval training so I need one that can accurately measure/time intervals.

    Thanks in advance

Realistically for advanced training you are probably better off with the 410 or 610 in the Garmin range.

Other option is the Polar RS800 but your GPS is a separate pod. It is an elite level watch with tons of ProTraining features.

cheers for the response, I think the 610 might be the best option for me, though sadly it will only get as far as the 'wish list' for now...:(

The Timex Run Trainer has interval sessions in it, but to be honest, I only use the standard timer & lap button to track them.
I should try and set it up some day, but to be honest, I don't think it would be worth the hassle to set it up each night at the track.

Use a http://www.handtec.co.uk/garmin-forerunner-305-noh.html for intervals and the 110 for races.

    +1.

Its discontinued, but excellent value at that price. Anything goes wrong outside of warranty and you may have expensive repairs but at €130 its well worth a punt.

Mine is 5 years old and still working perfectly.

Have the 205 myself. Excellent Watch and lasts forever.

Reminds me of the old phones/cars back in the day like the Nokia 3210 or Ford Fiesta.

They actually lasted unlike the new ones that nearly have a use by date before you have to dive back into the market for a new one every 12-24 months!

There is also a service for 305/205 that you can replace the battery and put in a 12 hour battery. http://corkrunning.blogspot.ie/2012/12/giving-your-old-garmin-watch-new-lease.html
