    Hi all,

Thanks for listening in advance. I search for some answers but could not really find any information on this. No doubt it's out there so pointers/direction are welcome.

Last year I moved to Ireland from the UK where I lived for close to two years. I started work on 26 November and got paid on Emergency tax with a weeks (about) backpay for November in December.

I have my tax credits certificate for 2013 so that's all good, I also know I can claim the credits for 2012 on a P21 but I was wondering is there a minimum amount of days/year you need to work before you actually pay income tax and so can I claim all paid tax back? I registered for PAYE online as well so it might be I will get my answer there but I am just curious so I figured to throw it in here..

Again, thanks for any advice/tips/help you can give me here..

Income tax kicks in at 16,500 for a single person.

    The USC tax starts earlier.
