Brand new laptop.....everything was fine. Now it's just a lovely laptop again (missing drivers and can't even connect via net cable to the internet)

I'm a unix geek and am drunk and need to get this system back on line for me ma before me girlfriend throws a bottle at me for choosing a machine over her.

    Please help.

    Peace

Right click my computer go to properties and then device manager.

You will see a yellow explanation mark on the devices that are missing drivers.

Obviously if the network adapter is missing the driver you will need another machine to download the missing drivers.

OK TK....is a brand new windows 7 box.....I bought for my mum. Now I could just go and reformat the whole thing but there's no need for that I'm sure. the thing is clean as a whistle, I just want to get it back online. Connected it (wire) to the router.....can you help after that?

check the device manager like I said in my previous post.

    After that

    Press the windows key
    type cmd and hit enter

    type ipconfig/all

    post the results
